Olympic Hottie of the Closing Day!

February 28, 2010

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to post my hottie of yesterday, where it would’ve been a member of the bronze medal Swiss curling team (the only event I was able to see).

But as for today, could it really be any other than Sid the Kid?

Besides looking like a super buff, less nerdy version of Andy Samberg, he’s a Canadian legend at the age of 22, and oh yeah, he shot the game-winning goal during sudden death overtime of the epic USA/Canada gold medal match.

During the game itself, I was, of course, rooting for the US and ready for a Zach Parise entry, but you can’t deny the game-ending goal in the last event in your own country antics of Crosby.

And while it hurt at the time, I hope that Team USA (all 239 Ryans of them) are extremely proud of their silver medal effort. Post game, Ryan Miller looked despondent, and it was great to see him smiling and filming at the closing ceremony tonight. Especially as MVP of the hockey tournament.

Cherish it, Sidney. USA will be coming for you in 2014!

Parise's coming for you, Sid.

239 Ryans made me chortle really loudly just now. And I like that Miller is filming with his iPhone WAHAHAHAHAHA.
